Mitigating Food Waste
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that one third of food produced in the world for human consumption every year — approximately 1.3 billion tonnes - gets lost or wasted. Eradicating food wastage not only reduces hunger but could make available roughly USD 680 billion in industrialized countries and USD 310 billion in developing countries for other uses!
